About us

Larry and Terri Beard are the founders and owners of Paint Parties Plus. While Terri is the artist and instructor, Larry is the muscle and backbone…and Terri's biggest fan and supporter! They retired and moved here from central Florida in late 2021 to be closer to family. Retirement offered Terri the opportunity to pursue her dream of concentrating on her art. In addition to painting with acrylic paints, she is a watercolor artist and avid crafter. Once they settled in, Terri saw a need for more ‘art’ in Berea and welcomed the opportunity to bring ‘fun art’ and joy to the community. “I tell my painters that this is FUN art not FINE art!” While painting is not something everyone wants to do, they can! This type of painting is designed for any skill level…and be FUN!

Terri also works on her crafts whenever possible and teaches painting classes and various crafts with the Berea LearnShops that are offered through Berea Tourism. The LearnShops are typically offered in March, April, July, October and December. Be sure to subscribe to our monthly newsletters to be notified about upcoming events! 

"In addition to the current classes/events that we offer, it is our intention to open up a studio. We want to be able to offer additional painting classes as well as various craft classes, scrapbooking and have open craft days in the studio. We are very excited about it and hope to be able to share more information about it soon!"
